There's always a third option in Ga (and potentially many more, if you're really willing to work with them)...

The Libertarian Party. The fiscal conservatism of the GOP (though we actually MEAN what we say) and the social tolerance of the Dems (though again, we actually MEAN what we say) combined with an absolute dedication to let YOU make your own decisions!

(Full disclosure: I'm on the Executive Committee of the Libertarian Party of Ga and I'm in my last few weeks as Chair of the Libertarian Party of Southwest Georgia)

Ha, no worries Jeff and thanks for the updates. I only follow politics when I get frustrated enough with work and school to want to get angry at other people so it's no surprise I missed out on the Handel stuff.

It's just a shame that even when one of the major parties does such a tremendous job of screwing things up, the other can't help but do the same once they take over.

First, thanks for the link.

Second, all THREE of the "leading" Republican candidates have had major issues within the past year. You forgot about Deal being a birther, and Ox has a MULTITUDE of issues other than the Yancey deal - he's also bullied a 15 yo kid fercryinoutloud!

But here's what you forgot about: Karen had ongoing legal issues with the US Dept of Justice (and while she wants you to think it was an Obama issue, it was BUSH courts and US DOJ that first reprimanded her) over her Voter Verification program (that Kemp is still pushing) that had a 60% FAILURE rate. In other words, for 100 people it identified as illegal voters, 60 of them were in fact legal voters who were disenfranchised by the system Karen Handel *broke Federal law* (VRA Section 5) to implement.

She also called for a $25 limit on meals from lobbyists - barely 3 weeks after accepting a $900 meal from a very prominent lobbyist. (She has since had that record removed.)
