ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA – According to the New Hampshire State Republican Party and an Associated Press report, Republican presidential candidate and Texas Congressman Ron Paul will be excluded from an upcoming forum of Republican candidates to be broadcast by Fox News on January 6, 2008.
“Given Ron Paul’s support in New Hampshire and his recent historic fundraising success, it is outrageous that Dr. Paul would be excluded,†said Ron Paul 2008 campaign chairman Kent Snyder. “Dr. Paul has consistently polled higher in New Hampshire than some of the other candidates who have been invited.â€
I’m not a huge politics guy, but this is pretty ridiculous. Guy is a long time Republican senator, is polling higher by the week, raised $19M last quarter, but isn’t invited to a forum for candidates most likely because he doesn’t fall in line with every other Republican candidate. Heaven forbid that a guy actually want smaller government, less war, lower taxes, and more personal freedom. Sounds terrible Fox. Thanks for keeping everyone from having to decide on whether or not they like him.

Lots of stuff going on lately, so I’ve been away from the computer. Working on a couple projects at work that require me to be active and thinking, which are much better than te projects that have me sit down all day. Also just moved back into Atlanta with Pete. He brought an big screen HDTV, living room furniture, dishes, and I brought nothing. I’m a bad roommate.
Quick rundown of recent events that I can hopefully get to later.
- Notre Dame, Pitt, and UVA keep sending me MBA stuff. Why can’t one of the schools I want to go to do that?
- Paul Johnson will get GT to a 10-win season before he leaves
- I think I want Josh Smith to get traded. Not 100% sure yet, but leaning that way
- Bobby Petrino is scum
- Fifa 08 on XBox >>> Fifa 07 on PS2
- I have about 230 channels of TV, and watch maybe 25 of them. 23 are the HD channels, and the other 2 show the soccer games. What a waste.
- 75% sure I’m going to Seattle the weekend of January 12th/13th
- The point of this title

Now doesn’t that just look like a wonderful way to start the day? Especially when the last 4 nights have seen you go to bed at 5am, 6am, 3am and 2am respectively with early mornings? I bet it does.
Too bad, if you’re like me and the Dunkin Donuts ice machine is broken. The kicker, since I work between Fairburn and Union City, there’s nowhere else to go get one. One Dunkin Donuts. No Starbucks, or other coffee chains. Awesome. I’m about to pass out at work, and only staying awake by going through the damaged products looking for cool stuff like flashlights that strap on to your head.
Basketball last night didn’t help any as we stayed close for 18 minutes, only to get run out the building in the second half. It’s pretty obvious to anyone playing us that we can’t shoot and can’t play defense. Great. Maybe when Ben gets back and plays point while Marc moves to 2-guard we’ll be better. We played some really good teams early on and played them a lot closer than we’re playing bad teams now.
Ok, back to boring work with nothing to do. I’m actively trying to find work to do here, but no one has anything for me until next week at the earliest. I never thought I would hate not having something to do so much.
