Stud.  Of course, this doesn’t include any of the current game that the Braves are losing 5-1, but whatever. This moment needs to be recorded.
The Thrashers won 4-1 today and, last I checked, Tampa Bay was down 4-0 at Florida, which means that we should clinch the division tonight. Awesome.
Finally, the Hawks need to learn to lose. Playing the Bucks (aka the team 1/2 game behind us in the standings and currently occupying the valuable 3rd worst record) they have come back from a 15 point deficit to lead by 10 with 6 minutes left. Ugh. The only 5 players to see time tonight should be Shelden Williams, Royal Ivey, Esteban Batista, Solomon Jones, and Slava Medvedenko. That’s it. This isn’t a hard concept Woody.

Since I don’t do anything at work because people don’t feel the need to extend even the slightest common courtesy with a returned phone call or e-mail I spent about 2 hours building a map of Georgia Tech, which you can check out here.
As you can see, only some of the datapoints show up. You have to scroll through the 4 different “pages” to see each point, and cannot (to my knowledge) see them all at one time. That seems to completely destroy the purpose of this exercise because the maps are severely limited.
Here are a few other things that bothered me.
1) I can’t give different locations a category. Yeah, I can give them comments that a user can search for, but I want to be able to designate this building as a “Dorm” and this as a “Classroom” and have people be able to click on that option.
2) No option to sort alphabetically. If Google is going to list all the points, I wish I could make them show up alphabetically instead of in whatever order I entered them. It doesn’t have to be the default, but at least let me choose.
3) Getting the link to your map. The non-Google site www.gmap-pedometer.com actually does this a LOT better than Google itself. Don’t just display the address in the address bar all of a sudden, put it in red lettering or something on the side of the page. Make it obvious.
I guess this is a nice little addition, but I wish that they had put a little more effort into it. Very un-Google-like if you ask me.

It rained a lot last night, but it was apparently very worth it. 70 degrees, sunny, a little breezy. Perfect.
First, I want to point out the happiest father in the world. Since I’m sure no one else is bored enough to click through all of the links in a Bill Simmons article like I am, I have to tell you about this guy in Illinois. He has twin daughters in high school, who are apparently two of the hottest females in existence, which I can only guess because of this:
Rose’s steady girlfriend of the last two years is Dana Lambert, a junior at Young. Her twin sister, Donna, is dating Marcus Jordan, Michael’s son.
Rose is top point guard recruit Derrick Rose who is a top 3 pick in next year’s draft. I hope I don’t have to explain who Michael Jordan is.  Congratulations Mr. Lambert, you get to hang out with the best basketball player ever, and have NBA money on the way.
Also, I want to point out how much it sucks that anybody can edit wikipedia, because this time it hurts my self-interest. The entry about American Gladiator “Bronco” has been changed as of today to read, “Bronco: competed in one episode in 1989 as an injury replacement for Malibu, was never seen again.“ This entry is soooo much worse I can’t believe it. Also, they seem to have deleted the Gladiator “Urkin” from existence. What a travesty.

This is what I spend my time doing while I wait for e-mails/calls from many different people.
Since I run out of CNN, MSNBC, Google Reader and ESPN by lunch time I’ve started to fill my day with wikipedia. Today I felt the need to read about American Gladiators. Actually, the progression went from Pachinko (Japanese slot machines) to “hey, that sounds like Plinko†so I read about that, to “I bet there are some good articles on other game shows†to “OMG American Gladiators!!!â€
Near the end of the article they list every American Gladiator who has ever participated. The end of the list has this note:
Note:Another Gladiator, Bronco (unknown who plays him), appeared in an episode in Season One after Malibu was cut during a game of Human Cannonball by Season One champion Brian Hutson. Human Cannonball was the only game which Bronco played.
That poor guy. You know he talks about this non-stop, and all of his friends got sick of hearing about how he stayed upright against some 35 year old beat cop and now he sits alone in a dark bar telling everyone within earshot about how good he used to have it.
