I’m using Opera 9 beta now, instead of firefox. I’m pretty happy with it so far. It’s ridiculously fast, has built in mouse gestures, some cool little widgets, etc. It’s a little harder to block advertisements, but if you copy this file into the folder C:\Documents and Settings\Ryan Anderson\Application Data\Opera\Opera 9 Beta\profile , only replace ‘Ryan Anderson’ with whatever your computer profile is named. It’ll overwrite the old file, but that’s fine. Restart Opera, and then you should have pretty much any annoying ads blocked. If there are some that keep coming up, let me know, and I’ll update the file so that it blocks them too, but I haven’t had any problems yet.
Also, I’ve decided that, even though my desktop just died, I’m going to wait a while to get a new computer. Really, the only reason I’m holding out is so that I can get Windows Vista on my next computer. I don’t know which version I want, probably the Ultimate one, but I’m nowhere near geek enough to use Linux, so this will have to do.

Ok, well, for taking 5 classes, I guess this is as good a finals’ schedule as I could hope for. Most of the early exams are the classes I feel good in, and the later exams are the ones I really feel I need to study for.
Monday, May 1st – Materials and Science Engineering 2001 (2:50 pm)
Tuesday, May 2nd – Industrial and Systems Engineering 3104 (8:00 am)
Wednesday, May 3rd – French 1002 (2:50 pm)
Thursday, May 4th – Management 3150 (8:00 am)
Friday, May 5th – Earth and Atmospheric Sciences 1601 (8:00 am)
So, there you go. An ‘A’ is very possible in all of the first 4 classes, and at least plausible in EAS. We’ll see how I did on my last test come Thursday though, which will give me a better idea of how much I need to study for the final.
Also, May 5th will be the final 511 party before people start moving in and out. Since it’s a) end of finals, b) cinco de mayo and c) basically graduation for all people who actually do such a thing in 4 years, it should be a great one. Bring sombreros and corona, we’ll supply the piñata(s).

HBO from 8pm to 11pm might be the best 3 hours ever created for television. Back-to-back Entourage, Sopranos, and Big Love. Tonight, however, I had to miss basically all of it with an MSE homework that should take maybe 30 minutes, has a group of 8 people, was assigned over a week ago, and, as far as I know, had absolutely no work done on it by any of us. Awesome.
Now, on to more pressing matters. 5 doctor’s visits, two rounds of tests, and one MRA later, there is still no diagnosis for why I have high blood pressure. And it’s not just a little high either. It’s like, 160/90. Which, according to the doctors, is insane for a 21 year old with no family history. Good news is, my kidneys aren’t failing, nor is my renal artery stenosis-izing. And, I’m on medication now (Altace 2.5mg) for 2 weeks before my next visit, when they’ll tell me if I’m still going to die of a heart attack.
However, I did get a pretty sweet blood pressure monitor out of the deal, so I can take it every so often. I have to keep recording it every day, so we’ll see if this stuff actually works.

Every page has links to the stuff I wanted now.
The ‘Movies’ have all the movies the last page did: f2f2s, Gouda, Wagnon and the chicken, and a new entry of Brett knocking a kid the eff out. The ‘f2f2s Movies’ page has just the f2f2s movies, as requested by Tyler.
The ‘Pictures’ page has links to all the picture sets I’ve posted before. Sorry there aren’t any new ones up lately, but I can’t find my charger for the camera, so it’s just been sitting idly by. Hopefully I’ll change the actual picture pages so that they are in the same format as everything else. That will have to come later though.
The ‘About’ page has always had information. That’s not new I guess.
‘Random’ has a bunch of stuff that is just that. Random. I linked all the php projects I’ve done before for classes. Also linked some poker stuff I’ve made and hosted some things that other people made. It’s just some stuff you can play around with if you’re so inclined. If you want me to put something up, just email me, or comment or something. I’ll get it.
Also, why does no one ever comment? I have over 100 posts on here, and only a dozen comments. Come on people, it’s not that hard to tell me if you love or hate what I’m putting up.

Aaron’s about to get scammed. I’ve tried telling him this, but he won’t listen. I think the fact that he’s getting desperate to rent his room out so that he can move in with Klein and Matt, even though they don’t have a house picked out yet.
Here’s the basic story. Aaron puts his room up on craigslist, and 30 minutes later he gets an e-mail from an African lady. She claims to have “a rising profile in the banking industry.” Africa + banks = alarm bells. Don’t do business with anyone claiming to be connected to an African bank. This will lead you to a much better life.
Anyway, I tell him right after hearing about this that “she” is probably going to ask for his bank account information so that she can transfer the money to him. Or, she’ll overpay the rent in one money order (probably $10k) and then ask him to wire the extra money back after he’s cashed it. Of course, the money order will be fake, that won’t be found out until 2 weeks later when Aaron has already wired out the $8k, and then he’ll have to give $10k back, which he won’t have because he’s already given it away.
Today, he tells me that African princess, as the prospective tenant has come to be known, is moving in May 10th, and is sending him the full 3 months’ rent money shortly.
Sigh. I tried. Hopefully he doesn’t cash it.

Well, that was a few weeks of disaster. I lost my wallet, then the domain registration ended, and my credit card expired (good I guess since it was lost). Basically, this left me with no domain, meaning no website, and no credit card to renew the hosting with. Whew, thank God that’s all solved now.
Anyway, after it was all said and done, my field bet on the tournament turned out a winner. This left me with a final record of 5-4 with a total of +1.36 units. Not a bad turn I guess. Also, Klein needed a perfect 3 things to happen in the final 4, and he got them. So, he wins the draft pool. FUKLEIN.
